Monarch Ambassador Training at RSPP

  • Rockefeller State Park Preserve 125 Phelps Way Pleasantville United States (map)

Hosted by Rockefeller State Park Preserve

Did you know that less than 10% of Monarch Butterflies reach maturity? Monarchs are currently under assessment for possible endangered status.

The Rockefeller State Park Preserve has started a Monarch Butterfly Project. They are offering training and certification for those who wish to become "Monarch Ambassadors". The purpose is to learn about Monarchs and, in particular, how to identify their eggs and larvae. You will be taught how to raise Monarch butterflies and release them back into the Preserve when they are grown.
