9am-1pm Rockefeller State Park Preserve
Everyone's favorite day of volunteerism is back! The state wide day of pitching in to the help the parks is, organized by Parks & Trails New York (PTNY) in partnership with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) and local Friends groups, to celebrate and enhance New Yorkβs parks and historic sites and bring visibility to the entire park system and its needs. This annual event is a volunteer opportunity for people of all ages to give back to our beloved Preserve. This spring, join Rockefeller State Park Preserve (RSPP) staff and the Friends of Rockefeller State Park Preserve to build up our Preserve and our community!

Invasive Plant Removal Project β Pulling Garlic Mustard, Mugwort and Phragmites in select areas around Swan Lake and Peaceful Path. This event is perfect for all ages. Please wear pants, boots and gloves. All ages welcome. Bring garden gloves. Additional tools: Please bring loopers or clippers if you have them. Please park in the RSPP overflow lot and meet by the two sheds. 125 Phelps Way, Pleasantville, NY.
Courtyard Paver Replacement - Join RSPP staff in fixing broken stone pavers in the visitor center courtyard. Appropriate for 13 and up. Please park in the RSPP overflow lot and meet by the two sheds. 125 Phelps Way, Pleasantville, NY.
Join RSPP staff for an OCA (Old Croton Aqueduct) trail project. The project will tackle a section of the OCA that goes through the Preserve. Appropriate for 13 and up. The meeting place for this project is Sleepy Hollow High School Parking Lot. Park in the lot by the sports fields, closest to Bedford Rd. and the OCA trail entrance.
General Information: Projects start promptly at 9am. Wear long pants and good work shoes. Bring work gloves if you have them. Bring water and a bag lunch or snack. We are unable to provide water or snacks this year due to COVID safety measures. Projects are rain or shine.
