All About Owls

  • Rockefeller State Park Preserve 125 Phelps Way Pleasantville, NY, 10570 United States (map)

Did you know that owls’ eyes are fixed in place, so they have to turn their heads to see? Or that a group of owls is called a parliament? Learn more fun facts like these with Naturalist, Andrew Michalski of the Greenburgh Nature Center. Get up-close and personal with their ambassador screech owl, check out some biofacts such as feathers and bones, and dissect pellets to understand what owls eat and how they process their food. Gather at the Visitor’s Center courtyard before a short walk to the Glacial Erratic, where the event will take place. Wear comfortable shoes and warm clothing. No pets please!

Rain Date: December 12. Cost: $3 + Eventbrite fees. Max: 30 people.
